30 Day Anime Challenge: #24 – Most Shocking MomentJune 26, 2018 0 By mattdoylemedia
Welcome, one and all, to the latest installment of the 30 Day Anime Challenge. Today, we hit Day 24, which is … Moment That Shocked You The Most In An Anime.
Now, this is an interesting one. There have been a few moments in anime that have caught way, way, way off guard. One that really stands out though is a bit of a spoiler. So, if you’ve not yet finished Death Note, look away now …
When L was killed, I couldn’t believe it. I knew that the series had a lot more to go, but having made sure not to read ahead of where I’d gotten up to, this one really surprised me. I thought that either the battle between L and Light would rage on for a while longer, or that the Death Note would pass to another. But no. Light won. L was killed. I just … wow.
Let’s not leave it there though. Again, this one is a major spoiler, so turn back now if you haven’t finished Fullmetal Alchemist. Nina Tucker. The young child that was transmuted with her pet dog, and forced to live in a confused, painful state until Scar finally took pity on her and killed her. The whole story line was so harsh, and part really did not expect them to pull the trigger on it in terms of adapting it. Harrowing stuff.
But there you go. Three moments that shocked me greatly. What about yourselves? Do you have any anime moments that shocked you?
