AEW All Out 2021 Predictions

Welcome, one and all, to an impromptu wrestling post! As tonight is AEW All Out 2021, and it features the return to the ring of CM Punk, I figured it was a good time to have a crack at predicting the results again. Or rather, I’m going to explain how I’d book this card, and we’ll see how close it aligns with what actually happens. This is based on my time booking a local company, so this is going to give you an idea as to whether you would have liked my booking style or not too. Well…here we go!

Best Friends & Jurassic Express vs. Hardy Family Office & The Hybrid 2

This ten-man tag match seems a little lopsided to me. Private Party feels less like a big deal since joining Matt Hardy, and the formerly Broken One is a little directionless himself at the moment. Hybrid 2 are kinda just there for me. The face team though is at least over with the fans. The way I’d book this one would be to have Best Friends & Jurassic Express go over with Jungle Boy pinning Matt Hardy after about 12 minutes.

Women’s Casino Battle Royale

The women’s division in AEW is weaker than some, even with the large numbers of people involved. There are a few in there with some star potential though and it’s the one with the biggest potential that I see winning this. If it were me, I’d have Thunder Rosa go over, lastly eliminating Nyla Rose. No idea how long it’ll go. Probably too long…the battle royales here often do.

Jon Moxley vs. Satoshi Kojima

This should be a fun one, as I expect Kojima will make sure this one stays mostly in the ring. I wouldn’t be surprised if Moxley was a fan, and I can well imagine him keeping his working boots on for this one. It won’t go long, but I’d book this with Jon Moxley winning a 10-minute, back-and-forth slugfest.

Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall

This feels like a match simply to get both guys on the card. Given the attack by Billy Gunn and his sons, I expect them to attempt to get involved here too. My thoughts would be to have Mark Henry appear to keep the Gunns at bay, allowing Paul Wight to get the win in a short, 7-minute match.

Chris Jericho vs. MJF

The stipulation of Jericho’s career being on the line makes this one more interesting. With the no-Judas gimmick to hamper things, I think this one will be worked competitively. Really though, there’s only one way this should go. If it were me, I’d have Jericho fighting valiantly for about 15 minutes. In the end, though, MJF beats him. That gives Jericho the chance to do some other stuff and come back refreshed if the need arises.AEW All Out 2021 Predictions

TNT Title Match: Miro [champion] vs. Eddie Kingston

This is an exciting one on paper. These guys should be perfectly capable of a stiff match that looks more like a fight than anything else. I’d have this one go for 12 minutes with both guys smashing each other. In the end, Miro retains.

Steel Cage Tag Titles Match: The Young Bucks [champions] vs. Lucha Brothers

This one is going to go long. I don’t think anybody will be able to stop that. That’s a shame, in a way, because I think it would do better as a sprint. Regardless, I’m gonna say it creeps over 20 minutes, and the Lucah Brothers finally dethrone the Bucks. I hope that’s what happens, anyway.

Women’s Title Match: Dr. Britta Baker, DMD [champion] vs. Kris Statlander

Okay, I’m gonna say this one ends up surprising people in terms of quality. It won’t be the match of the night, but I reckon they’ll put out a competent match. I’d have Britt Baker retain in 13-minutes, then have a stare-down with the Casino Battel Royale winner after the match.

CM Punk vs. Darby Allin

Okay, so my prediction here is not going to be popular. If I were booking this, I’d actually kinda screw the fans. The way I see it, these two go back and forth for about 8 minutes, basically running it with neither guy getting a clear overall advantage, but both hit their greatest hits. Then, 2.0 and Daniel Garcia run in and render it a no contest. Sting makes an appearance, of course, and the faces do manage to drive them off. The reason for this is it means neither Punk nor Darby has to lose here, and it continues the spat with 2.0 and Garcia, setting up a six-man tag for down the line.

World Title Match: Kenny Omega [champion] vs. Christian Cage

This one will be the longest match of the night. I’d have it set up so that Kenny is Hell-bent on revenge, but nothing he does keeps Cage down. Unfortunately for the challenger, nothing he hits keeps Omega down either. After 25 minutes of action, Christian goes for the frog splash, misses, and Kenny Omega hits the One Winged Angel for the win.

So, that’s how I’d run things. What do you think? Would you enjoy the card this way? Do you think my picks will match those tonight? Let me know in the comments below!

      1. Sure thing. I saw a reaction video of the debuts and various matches involving a podcast I follow who are based in London and the Essex area. The people were in a bar where All Out was playing on the TVs and they were amped up. What made it crazier is hat Anthony Ogogo showed up at one point at that same location to hang out with the fans. I didn’t know he went back to England.

Yeah, it’s certainly a double edged sword. I know the Khans are richer than the McMahons by a few billion dollars last time I checked, but they can’t just sign everybody especially with bigger signings like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole. I’m sure they’ll figure something out. My concern is that these new debuts could overshadow some of the home-grown talent there. They’ve been good so far with Sting and Taz in manager types of roles for example, but I don’t want them to be so over-reliant on the ex-WWE talent they just acquired.

      2. No, reliance on too much ex WWE talent would fly in the face of their original purpose. I think they’ve arrived the right ex WWE workers so far though. It just feels like the roster is super bloated to me.

      3. Definitely. I hope they figure out the right things to do with their new and established talent. Some of their talent does need to be pushed. I saw AEW Dark which I haven’t done in months and was blown away by the main event with Big Swole and Diamante. That match should’ve been on a PPV or at the very least main eventing Dynamite. Also, how are these women not in the title picture?
