June 8th-12th, 2020 Round-Up

Welcome, one and all, to the new weekly round-up! We’ve got plenty to go through, so let’s dive right into it.

Looking Back

We’re going to start with the run-down of posts that went live last week, split by category and sorted alphabetically:

When I First Saw Red by Kasia Bacon [Book Spotlight – LGBTQ paranormal Erotica]

June 1st-5th, 2020 Round-Up

TV & Films

Senseless [Crowdfunding Spotlight]

Meanwhile, the concept of the top 5 most viewed older posts having a theme continues. This week, it was kemonomimi, or animal ears themed stuff:

5th: Our Home’s Fox Deity [Anime Review – Comedy / Fantasy / Gender-Bender / Slice of Life / Supernatural] – This is actually one of my favorite anime. It does a great job of mixing genres and is sadly unknown compared to some.

4th: Nyanko Days [Anime Review – Comedy / Slice of life / Catgirls] – if you’ve not been this cutesy little catgirl show, you’re missing out! It’s kawaii, short-form, and a lot of fun!

3rd: The Helpful Fox Senko-San Episode 11 – The second to last outing for Senko and nakano was excellent. The whole series kept me coming back for more, of course, but this one did a superb job of making me excited for the finale.

2nd:Murenase! Seton Gakuen Episode 12 [Anime Review] – This show really won me over. It wasn’t perfect, not even close, but when it got things right, it do so really well. This finale was as fine example of when it did things right.

1st: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Seasons 1-5 [Review] – This got better as it went along, and transitioned form a decent first season to a phenomenal final one. Honestly, if you want a show with kid-friendly queer representation, this is a great choice!

What Can You Expect This Week?

I’m on a bit of a downward slide this week, with less planned content. As it stands, this is what you can expect:

MON: The Harbinger [Book Spotlight]

TUE: Inugami-San to Nekoyama-San Episode 10 [Anime Review]

WED: The Pet and His Duke [Book Spotlight]

THU: Gods of Earth [Book Spotlight]

FRI: Nothing planned as yet

And…that’s about it! So, thank you all for sticking with me. Do you have a particular post you’re looking forward to this week? Or a favorite from last week? Let me know in the comments below.
