How Did I Do In The 2018-2019 Rainbow Awards?

So. This was a post that I wasn’t expecting to be writing.

Way back in 2017, the first book in my lesbian sci-fi/mystery series, Addict, received an honorable mention in the lesbian sci-fi category. I was thrilled. I’d never even come close to an award before, and so to see my first traditionally published work be within touching distance was awesome.

For the 2018-2019 award, the second and third books in the series stood in the expanded ‘Best lesbian alternative universe/reality & sci-fi/futuristic category’. The results are now in.

Both The Fox, The Dog and The King (book 2) and LV48 (book 3) are listed as winners in the category, placing second and third respectively!

To say that I’m happy would be an understatement. Honestly, when the two books to honorable mentions earlier in the judging, I was kinda expecting that to be it. That they both went one step further is incredible.

So, here is a big thank you. To Elisa for running the awards. To the judges that read the books. To everyone that has supported me on this continuing journey. And to everyone who has been coming along for the ride when I blog about this stuff. You’re all awesome 🙂
