May 2019 Round-Up

June 3, 2019 2 By mattdoylemedia

Welcome, one and all, to our monthly round-up! It’s been an interesting month, and we’ve got plenty to go through, so let’s dive right into it.

Top 5 Most Viewed Posts

5th: Sonic the Hedgehog The Movie – Trailer Reaction

Coming in fifth this month was my reaction to the Sonic the Hedgehog Movie trailer. I try to be balanced with these things, but even I could see the issues with it. Still, it wasn’t all bad.

4th: The Sonic Movie Trailer Is Fake! Paramount And SEGA Tricked Us!

Off the back of the above trailer, and the subsequent tweet from the director confirming that the titular hedgehog’s design would be reworked, I came up with this. It’s fake. There is no real conspiracy. But it was fun coming up with it.

3rd: Pit Fighters 1 by Rick Griffin [Book Review – Furry / LGBTQ]

Looking for some MM furry action in a pro fighting setting? This is for you. Rick’s book is a breeze to read.

2nd: Manga vs. Anime: Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin

One of the regulars in the top 5 jumps in again. AoT is a superb series, and this covers what I thought when comparing the manga and the first half of season one.

1st: A&H Club Volume 1 by Rick Griffin [Graphic Novel Review – Furry / Lesbian / Drama]

Another regular takes the top spot. Equal parts heartbreaking and heartwarming, this is just the beginning for the series. Even so, it’s clear that the two women will end up together. So, if you want a touching lesfic drama and have no issue with furry characters, give it a look-in!

What’s Coming In June?

So, I’m slowly getting into a routine for post types, and have a few regulars set up at long last. In terms of anime, I should have reviews for at least three upcoming Blu-ray releases, and will continue my episodic reviews for both Attack on Titan and The Helpful Fox Senko-San. I may add another series to that too, we shall see.

I’ll also have my continued OVW TV reviews for the wrestling, and the usual assortment of book spotlights and reviews. And of course the latest Sonic comic reviews.

Outside of that, I actually don’t have much pre-planned this month. Basically, I’m gonna try winging it and doing more stuff like the trailer reactions and so on.

How About My Projects?

Well, in terms of writing, I have Cassie Tam 5 planned out now. I really need to start writing it. I also have my continued plans for the patchwork kitsune cosplay. Other than that, real life has left me taking things slowly for the moment, so there isn’t much else to say.

And…that’s about it! So, thank you all for sticking with me. Do you have a particular type of post you’re looking forward to in June? Or a favorite from May? Let me know in the comments below.
