Wrestlemania 35 Predictions

Welcome, one and all, to my Wrestlemania 35 predictions post! Now, I’ve had a mixed bag of luck with the event over the years, so let’s see if I can turn that around here.

 

 

Kick-Off Show

Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Tony Nese

Singles match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

The cruiserweights get shifted to the kick-off show yet again. It’s a shame because I expect this to be a good match. I predict Buddy Murphy to retain.

 

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Battle royal for the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal Trophy

After the reaction to her title loss, this really needs to be Asuka.

 

André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Battle royal for the André the Giant Memorial Trophy

I’m not sure anyone is really bothered who wins, to be fair. Let’s say Apollo Crews.

 

 

Main Show

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre

Singles match

While Drew is certainly going on to big things, it doesn’t seem to make sense for the Big Dog to lose his first Wrestlemania back. So, Roman Reigns wins.

 

The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection (Bayley and Sasha Banks) © vs. The Divas of Doom (Beth Phoenix and Natalya) vs. The Iiconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) vs. Nia Jax and Tamina

Fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

There’s a lot of potential in the Women’s Tag Titles, but it feels to me like they haven’t been building the match as well as they could. It could go to anyone really at this point, so I’m going to say Nia Jax and Tamina win the titles.

 

Daniel Bryan © vs. Kofi Kingston

Singles match for the WWE Championship

Kofi Mania is running wild, and this is going to be one of the best matches of the night. Kofi will fight hard, then Rowan will try to get involved The New Day will chase him off and we’ll get a near-fall or two, but in the end, Daniel Bryan will retain.

 

The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. Ricochet and Aleister Black vs. The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev

Fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Another throw-away four-way. I’m tempted to say the Usos retain, but let’s go with Ricochet and Aleister Black.

 

AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton

Singles match

This one could be decent. I’m not entirely certain who’s getting the fall though, so I’ll say Randy Orton when he reverses a Phenomenal Forearm into an RKO.

 

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Singles match for the WWE United States Championship

Again, this should be decent. I see nor reason that Samoa Joe shouldn’t retain though.

 

Bobby Lashley © vs. Finn Bálor

Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

With Finn unleashing The Demon, this should be an obvious victory. I wouldn’t put is past WWE to have Lashley hand The Demon a loss, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Finn wins the title.

 

Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin

Singles match

It’s Kurt Angle. He’ll go out on a high.

 

Shane McMahon vs. The Miz

Falls Count Anywhere match

This one will be an entertaining stunt show. I see The Miz getting his revenge.

 

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins

Singles match for the WWE Universal Championship

I’m actually fairly torn with this one. There’s no doubt that Lesnar is dominant, but my gut is telling me that Seth Rollins wins the title.

 

Triple H vs. Batista

No Holds Barred match with Triple H’s career on the line

Batista did say before that he wanted to have HHH ends his career. Honestly, with Kurt retiring on the show already, I can’t see us getting two retirements, so I’m saying that HHH wins.

 

Ronda Rousey (c; Raw) vs. Charlotte Flair (c; SmackDown) vs. Becky Lynch

Winner takes all triple threat match for both the WWE Raw Women’s Championship and the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

The big one. The first ever women’s main event on the show. I still would have preferred Becky vs. Ronda one-on-one, but there you go. This has to be Becky Lynch winning the titles. Nothing else will satisfy the crowd.
