Welcome, one and all, to the final entry in the 30 Day Gaming Challenge! So, what does Day 30 want me to name? Why, it’s … my favourite game of all time.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It’s that simple. If there’s a collection with it on on a system I own, I will buy it. To me, this was the perfect platformer. The ability to choose between three characters, the shields, the story, the level design, the music, the graphics … it was the perfect blend, not just for a Sonic game, but any game. This was, for me, the classic.

That was actually the first long game that I finished as a kid. I spent ages hunting down the hidden stuff

Congrats on completing the challenge. Makes me want to tackle this too, although I first need to finish the anime one. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is my fave Sonic title. Not sure if I would rank it as best game ever, but it would be a contender for the Megadrive game I liked the most.

There are definitely games that are technically better. Did me is that I keep going back to it and it doesn’t lose any of the magic that boosts it up.
The challenges are surprisingly challenging to keep on top of.
