August 2018 Round-Up

Welcome, one and all, to the August round-up post! What wonders did we have on the site last month? Well … less than normal. But that’s okay. Let’s start with the usual list section.

TOP 5 MOST VIEWED POSTS

5) Suffering Of Ninko [Film Reviw – Comedy / Drama / Horror]

I had so many mixed feelings with this film. I actually think that it may be the lowest rating I’ve given in a review so far, which is a shame because it had potential lurking beneath the stuff I wasn’t fond of. Still, it’s nice to see the review getting some attention. Have a read if you want to know why I scored it so lowly.

JOINT 4) Dogman: fact or fiction?

The hairy beasty graces the top five once again! As articles go, I’m still very proud of this one, and I’m glad to see that it gets some views pretty much every month. If you don’t know what a dogman is, give it a look-in!

JOINT 4) Manga vs. Anime: D-Frag!

This is one of my comparative pieces. I’m not sure what happened, but it suddenly got a bunch of hits this month. I’m not complaining, quite aside form anything, I do think that the series is sadly overlooked. If you want to read my thoughts on the two version of this bonkers comedy, give it a read.

3) YUSIBU: I Couldn’t Become A Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided To Get A Job [Anime Review – Harem / Comedy / Ecchi]

A straight up anime review hits the top five! Yay! I think that this was the first ecchi show I’ve reviewed, and it was definitely one of the first review discs I ever got sent. The thing is, how you view it will depend on what you think of certain themes. I did try to be fair though, so feel free to have a look.

2) Author Interview: CL Raven – Part I / Author Interview: CL Raven – Part II

Both parts of the epic interview with the Welsh ladies of horror scored highly this month. I was so impressed that they answered all 70+ questions that I sent them though! Regardless, the twins are great people, and this is well worth a read.

1) Manga vs. Anime: Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin

This is officially my most viewed non-book post ever. With the series being such a huge success, I guess that’s not surprising though. The post covers right up to the start of the female titan arc and gives my thoughts on what medium tells the story better.

So, with a mix of old and new posts in there, let’s see the full list of posts for the month.
