Welcome, one and all, to Matt Doyle Media Dot Com’s January 2018 round-up/February 2018 projects update. So, what’s been going on? What’s still to come? Let’s find out!
THE SITE
As always, we’ll be kicking off with the month in review. It’s been a surprising one, to say the least. I didn’t really post much in January. There were a few site update posts, a wrestling prediction thing, and a couple of author related posts that I’d set up, but that was it. Somehow though, traffic wasn’t much lower than it was at the end of last year. I’m taking that as a good sign. So, what were people clicking on? Let’s have a look.
Postings for January 2018
This month, we’re going to start with a run-down of my top five most popular postings for the month.
5) Book Review: Hybrid by Nick Stead – A funky little werewolf tale by an absolute gent.
4) 2018: Anime, Manga and what to expect – I’m also taking this as a good sign. People are interested enough in my anime and manga posts to check in with what I’ve got coming up. Fingers crossed I don’t disappoint, eh?
3) 2018: My Projects and My Goals – Only slightly more views than the anime and manga post of the same nature, but I’m happy regardless.
2) In Desperate Need of Love: Lightning Returns – I know that it had a mixed reception, but I love this game. It’s an old posting, but I’m glad that it’s still getting some interest.
1) Digimon Adventure Tri: Our Future Speculation – And the digi-post returns to the top. Looking back at it, this was one of my favourite postings last year. I’m just hoping I can get a few more posts that I enjoy so much.
There wasn’t much more, but here’s the summary of all posts for January:
- 2018: My Projects and My Goals
- 2018: Anime, Manga and what to expect
- 2018: Books, books, and more books
- Book Review: Hybrid by Nick Stead
- Book Spotlight and Giveaway: Beneath The Surface by Rebecca Langham
- Series Spotlight: Werecat by Andrew J Peters
- 2018: Gaming the system(s)
- K.S. Trenten: The Prince + Once Upon A Rainbow Volume 2

Upcoming posts for February 2018
There are a lot to come. The weekly themes remain as follows:
Week 1: My Projects & Random Stuff
Week 2: Anime
Week 3: Books
Week 4: Video Games
As to the content … look out for reviews, news, interviews, a competition, blogging awards, and some random articles. I’m going all-out with the variety this month!
Honestly, this is going to be the busiest month I’ve ever had. Between the blogging awards and a few posts that are outside their regular week, there’s actually gonna be some multi-post days and weekend posts this month! Don’t expect that all to last, of course, but it’s nice to get things going with a mass blast of material, eh?
MY PROJECTS
Books and Stories
Addict is continuing to get strong reviews, which is great. Meanwhile, I’ve finished the first round of editing for book two, The Fox, The Dog, and The King. I finished the first draft of book three in the series, LV48, too.
This month, I’m back to The Spark Form Chronicles, and am starting the next draft of book four. In honour of this, look out for some flash sales on the kindle versions of the first three books!
I’m also working on a number of new short stories for submission to various places.
Art
The art post is coming, but it’s pushed back to March. The reason is that, if all goes well, I’m hoping to get some new pieces in there.
And … that’s about it right now. Thanks for reading, and I hope that you’ve all had a great January!
Looking forward to all your upcoming posts. But the Art post is one that I am really curious about. Hope February is going to be an awesome month for you as well 😊😊

As do I. The art one is fun. I don’t get to do as much as I used to, but I always enjoy doing a little here and there.

Well, that amounts for one of the hits. I’m glad to see prior still reading it though, as I was quite proud of that one.
