2018: Books, books, and more books

It’s time for … the first bookish post of the year! Last year saw a big increase in the number of book-related post that I was putting out, with plenty of interviews and guest posts joining the reviews.

This year, expect much more of the same! As far as ‘m concerned, working with other authors is important. I know well how hard it is to get too much publicity without a good budget behind you, so offering free spots on the site is my way of helping others get a footing. We’re all in this together, after all.

But … do I have anything already lined up? Well, spots are actually filling up pretty quickly. Which is why you’re going to get some posts this month. In fact, we’ve got a variety of stuff set up. There is definitely a book review coming later today. Over the next few days, we’ll get a book spotlight (complete with a paperback giveaway), and a series spotlight for sure. If all goes well, we’ll have an author interview too.

One thing that I do want to do more of this year is comic reviews. As to what I’ll cover, that will vary. Once the IDW Sonic comics start coming in April, I may start some issue reviews up. I have the first of the two-part Legend of Korra graphic novels to review too, and a bit more Blacksad too. I’m tempted to start running through some of the IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle trade paperbacks in reviews too.

We shall see though. The main thing is that this is going to be a busy week every month. And that is all. Next week, I’ll discuss what can be expected from the gaming week each month. Catch ya then!

  1. More comic reviews would be cool. These days my reading is pretty much limited to reading Comixology purchases at lunchtime. It will be interesting to see how the new Sonic compares to the Archie series.
