It seems that I’ve been nominated for another blogger award! This time around, D over at D Talks Anime nominated me for the Entertainer Blogger Award. Thank you kindly for that, ‘tis much appreciated, and of course, I highly recommend the blog! It’s one I would nomiante this for myself if D hadn’t sent me the nomination. So, let’s see what this one is all about.
The Rules:
- Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Add these rules to your post.
- Answer all the questions below.
- Display the award picture in your post.
- Nominate 12 other bloggers who are funny, inspiring and most important of all entertaining!
The Questions:
- Why did you start a blog in the first place?
I actually started the blog to promote my first novel WICK (The Spark Chronicles #1). I knew that I wanted to post regularly too though and figured that I’d throw out a couple of anime reviews in between sporadic book updates, and it all just kinda escalated from there. Now we have my books, my cosplay, my philosophy, anime, comics, gaming, and other random stuff. Who knew that it would snowball that much?
- What is your favorite book?
This changes far too often. I did rather enjoy Silence Fallen, which is the latest in Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series … if I’m gonna pick a favourite though I think it would be a tie between two:
Men at Arms (Discworld #15) by Terry Pratchett – by far my favourite of the awesome Discworld series. This one deals with the Ankh-Morpork City Watch as they take on a bunch of new recruits and get tangled up in a political plot.
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski – one of my most read books. It’s written in an ergodic style, meaning that it’s not straight forward to read. For example: Sometimes, you’ll have the main story, the secondary story as told by the person compiling the main story, and the third story in the form of the notes that the person mentioned in the second story is using to compile the first story, all going at once on the same page. Then, on other pages, there will be a single word. Mostly, it’s about a house that manifests impossible corridors that should not exist. It’s excellent stuff.
- What do you dislike the most?
Hmm … that’s a tough one. I’m pretty easy going for the most part. Intolerance is right up there though; Some people are just plain bigoted, and I hate that. Oh, and if my CD collection were still on display and was not in order, it would actually get to me quite a bit. It certainly used to anyway. Now the discs are in slip wallets so that I can’t see how disorderly they are.
- What is your favorite food at the mall?
We don’t strictly have a mall here. If we’re going by my closest shopping centre, I don’t tend to eat much in there because the prices are silly at times. I’m more likely to buy a drink, in which case, a bottle of Aloe Vera.
- What is your favorite past time?
Reading, writing, gaming. All three have been big things for me since I was a kid, and they show no signs of dropping out of my life yet!
The Nominees:
I always find this bit hard, and I rarely meet the required number, because I simply can’t pick. Still, I’ll do my best and nominated as many as I can. Feel free to take part or not as you see fit!
Congratulations on yet another very well deserved nomination award, you really deserve it 😊 Thank you very much for my nomination. I appreciate it. Inwill be honest, I am really running behind on these. I think I have about 20 of these posts that I still need to do. Luckily in about a week and a half, I will have a three week vacation. If all goes well, then I hope to make a bit of dent in these 😊 Thank you so much 😀

It’s well worth checking out. The cat it’s so big that even of you don’t car some characters like Rincewind, you may find that you enjoy the books about Death, The Watch, the Witches etc. There’s just so much variety.
