Hello, one and all, and welcome to another Way Cool Wednesday! Herein, we shall once again be diving head first into some random fun stuff that I’ve stumbled upon in my travels through t’interweb. Let’s see what’s been unearthed this time …
WAY COOL VIDEO: FIRST PERSON SHOOTER ON CHATROULETTE
So, Chatroulette is a website that pairs random users together for webcam-based conversations. I don’t use it myself, but plenty of people do. Back in 2015, this group decided to set up a real life First Person Shooter Game on Chatroulette, and invited their randomly paired partners to play. The result is rather awesome!
WAY COOL ARTICLE: SHADES OF GREY – MONSTERS AND MEN IN SHIKI
https://dtalksanime.wordpress.com/2017/02/04/shades-of-grey-monsters-and-men-in-shiki/
D Talks Anime posted this one back at the start of February. The article covers the two opposing groups in the vampire anime, Shiki, and puts forward reasoning as to why both sides could be argued as the monsters of the series. It’s a fascinating piece that I highly recommend.
WAY COOL WEBSITE: TREK MOVIE – EASTER EGGS IN BEYOND
http://trekmovie.com/2016/07/30/hidden-references-cameos-and-easter-eggs-from-star-trek-beyond/
I know, I know, Star Trek Beyond had a mixed reception. Personally, I really enjoyed it though, even if it isn’t a patch on TNG. This site is pretty cool when it comes to Trek movies though, and the highlighted post gives away a few of the Easter Eggs in ST:Beyond. To me, that’s just plain fun.
WAY COOL BLOG POST: MOE VS. CLIMATE CHANGE
https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/41300768/posts/1355815028
Climate change is an important issue, and Japan is doing tis bit by pledging to cut greenhosue gas emissions by 26% by 2030. As part of this compaign, they’re advertising to help kids make the right choices regarding climate issues, and to do that, they’ve got themselves some mascots. This is a marvellous, if not unexpected, way for Japan to get the right message across.
WAY COOL MUSIC: GARY NUMAN – IN A DARK PLACE
Wait … Gary Numan? Isn’t he that near 60 year old that did Cars and Are ‘Friends’ Electric? back in the late 1970’s? Why yes, he is. This particular video is from the man’s 2006 album, Jagged. Here Mr. Numan put out a dark mix of anthemic industrial music and heavy electronics. While I recommend the album in general, this single was a good representation of what Gary Numan can do in the modern era. Give it shot, you may be surprised.
And so ends our latest journey into the fun and whacky world of the internet. Thanks for reading everybody, I’ll catch ya later.
Thanks for the mention, and this nice collection of posts.

That is no problem at all 🙂

Survival horror on Chat Roulette is almost as scary as stumbling across a guy exposing himself (which happens quite frequently on that site.)

Ha! I’ve never used the thing myself, so have avoided random exposures. The whole concept of the game intrigued me so much though. They must have put a heckuva lot of work into setting that thing up.
