Ah, Way Cool Wednesday. It’s been a while since I did one of these, so I figured that It’s about time that I set another one up. As per the norm, I’ve been aimlessly trawling the internet and taking note of whatever random things happen to leap out at me. Herein, I’ve compiled a couple of cool things that I’ve found that fall under the theme rather random theme of ‘the year 2009’ …
WAY COOL VIDEO: THE CAT WITH HANDS
Robert Morgan made a short film about a cat with human hands. It’s creepy, it’s disturbing, and it’s remarkably well done. At only 3:31 long too, it’s a good little way to kill some time while waiting for the bus or whatnot.
WAY COOL POSTING: TOP TEN ANIME OF 2009
https://aquabluesweater.wordpress.com/2013/07/05/best-anime-series-of-2009-meta-ranking-analysis/
So here, aquabluesweater has gather the composite scores from various anime review sites and used these to give a top ten series of the year 2009. What’s quite interesting to see is that some of these are still very much talked about much loved now, seven years on. For my own part, I’ve seen a few of them and have at least heard of most of them, albeit in some cases (such as Skip Beat) long after the year of release.
WAY COOL MUSIC: WHITE TRASH CIRCUS [MOTLEY CRUE]
I really like Motley Crue. Their ‘Dr Feelgood’ album was among the first vinyl records that I bought, along with Black Sabbath’s ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’. While it didn’t reach the dizzying heights f love that I give to the aforementioned Sabbath album, it is still something that I enjoy. This particular song comes from the band’s last studio album, ‘Saints of Los Angeles’. It’s a pretty cool slice of sleaze rock if you ask me, with a catchy riff and a good vocal showing from Vince Neil.
WAY COOL PHOTO: THE PANCAKE BUNNY
Just because I always loved this pic …
And that is it for this edition’s Way Cool Wednesday! How about you wonderful people? Do you have any fun 2009 things to share?
Aw, the bunny is so cute. Based on that list 2009 was an excellent year for anime. FMA, Clannad, Spice & Wolf and Eden of the East are all great.

I used to post that bunny here, there and everywhere back then. It really does look like a great year for anime though. I think that a lot of those are still talked about now.
